When motivation is low and your mind is screaming for excuses, there’s one thing we’re sure will get you off the couch and onto the training ground: your training buddies. We know it’s not always easy to join a training group and some friends require more persuading than others, but together, we are stronger and faster than ever. So, don’t give up.

When Warrior join forces, impossible becomes nothing more than a word. That‘s why if you haven‘t yet joined us yet, we suggest giving it a try. Not only will it boost your motivation and performance, but with other Warriors by your side, there‘s no room for excuses. Ready to feel the force and start bridging the gap between you and your goals? Here’s why teaming up will help you go the distance.

YOU BECOME ACCOUNTABLE

One of the hardest parts about getting in shape isn‘t completing your workout, but starting it in the first place. It‘s one thing to say you‘re going to stick to your training schedule, but it‘s another thing to actually do it. That‘s why it‘s important to develop a healthy sense of accountability, and there‘s no better way to do so than to team up with other Warrios. If you’ve got a group of people waiting for you to join, you can bet that you’ll think twice about hitting the snooze button and staying in bed for another hour. If you fail to show, not only will they notice, but you will be letting them down. Having reliable workout buddies increases your chances of sticking to your training, and will no doubt help you (and your training pals) reach your goals faster.

YOU’LL BE MORE MOTIVATED

Unless you‘re the type of person that can jump out of bed at 5am and hit the ground running, chances are you struggle with motivation at times. But don‘t worry, there are many ways to motivate yourself. One of the most powerful being buddying up and finding strength in numbers. When you train with others, you not only support each other but add a bit of healthy competition to the mix, which can often be the push you need to keep going. If you feel like you can’t continue, someone in the group will help you see that you can. They’ll keep you going if you want to quit and make you determined to continue. How? Picture this, you feel yourself beginning to slow down. But you see other Warriors pushing themselves harder than anyone else. Harder than you. What happens? You develop a ‘keep up’ mentality. Become determined to perform just as well as them. This often reveals that you have more power within yourself than you think. Something that doesn’t always come out when training along.

IT’S HUMAN NATURE

It’s within us all to be social. Human nature makes us want to spend time with and be around others. And nothing brings people closer than pain, physical suffering and success. By joining a training group, you’re not only getting in shape but you’re also bonding with people who feel the same pain as you. The same success as you. And have a similar goal. Sharing these experiences together makes it even more enjoyable. The help you get from others, who push you to do the last repetition as fast as you can, who tell you to get up when you’re on the ground, this is what makes you determined to continue. And the fact that you support them back gives you a feeling of joy and appreciation. You get the feeling that you are a part of something. Once this happens, you‘ll actually look forward to and enjoy your training, and quitting will no longer be an option.

Next up…. we’ll share some tips on how to strike up conversations with your new training buddies 🙂
